In order to determine what this patch is, the first thing you should do is get a medical examination by a dermatologist, who will be able to diagnose your condition accurately. This is particularly important because it is impossible to make an accurate diagnosis before we begin to try and treat this patch. A patch that occurs suddenly may have any number of reasons attached to it. It could range from a variety of reasons such as acne and heat rash to ringworm or any other minor skin ailment or infection like rosacea. The oil that is oozing would need to be examined by a doctor to determine what it is. It is also important to know what part of the body this patch has appeared on. Some general across the board measures that can be used to take care of a rash are suggested below.

The first is a measure to try if a rash is caused due to any infection. You can simply apply a paste made with turmeric powder and rose water to it. If indeed you are troubled with a surface infection, you will notice the difference within hours. The redness may recede and the oil may also stop oozing over a day or two. You can apply this paste frequently without the fear of any side effects as well. If you are suffering from an acne related rash, then you can apply a paste made with sandalwood powder and rose water to it. This will heal the acne quite quickly and effectively. You can also apply a bit of unsweetened and unflavored fresh yogurt to it. This may work well for the oily ooze. For a rash caused by ringworm, which is a fungal infection, you can simply dab on a bit of tea tree oil to the rash. But do keep in mind that tea tree oil is a particularly strong substance and must not be used on open wounds and sores. Your best course of action would be to dilute a drop of tea tree oil with a teaspoon of olive oil and apply this to your rash. This will sanitize it and kill any infection. The olive oil will also help with general healing if required. If you have a rash that is directly related to rosacea, it is imperative that you keep your skin well moisturized at all times. The olive oil will be particularly helpful in this case as well.
