Dark sin in the armpit area is a fairly common occurrence. There are one or two fairly simple reasons for this. One is that these dark marks are fairly common amongst people who use any method of hair removal from their armpits. The most safe and common one to use is waxing, but this is also an extremely painful one, which is why it is skipped by a lot of people. If you shave or use hair removing creams, then you will find your skin darkening over a period of time. The main reason for this is that hair removal creams generally contain chemicals that damage your skin, thus causing it to darken as a result. Shaving also tends to make the skin tougher and darker. Both these methods should generally be avoided. Another reason why skin darkens in this area is that it is constantly covered with clothing and hair and is therefore almost always sweating. Perspiration contains uric acid, which darkens skin over time. This is perhaps the reason a lot of people also have dark inner thighs, as urine is probably the richest source of natural uric acid.
In order to make your black marks “go away” there are some measures you can take quite easily at home. While they may not really work towards lightening the color of your skin, they will at least reduce the darkness considerably. You can use natural bleaching agents such as yogurt and lime juice to lighten the area. You would only have to apply and leave on a mix of both these substances for about 20 minutes before bathing as usual. Alternatively, you can also use milk cream and saffron. Soak a few strands of saffron in milk cream overnight and apply this to your under arms in the morning. This should show you good results within a month or so. Keep in mind that you should be patient and wait for it to work. Make it a point to use a gentle loofah to scrub your under arms on a daily basis. This will also help to scour away dead skin and generally cleanse the area more and better. You should also try to use a gentle exfoliating agent for this region about once a week at least. If you include these in your daily habits, you will notice a marked difference in the color, quality and texture of your skin. You should also avoid applying perfume directly to your skin, as this can also lead to skin darkening.
