Wrinkles form naturally as a part of the ageing process, but rapid weight loss can also cause wrinkles and produce sagging skin on face or stomach. The loss of fat cells reduces the cushioning effect that they provide causing the skin in that area to sag or crease. There are steps that you can take to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin after weight loss. There is of course a limit to their effectiveness and they cannot reverse or stave off the effects of aging indefinitely. They can however reduce and delay the onset of such blemishes. Rapid weight loss programs are not recommended as your skin is bound to sag if there is a sudden reduction in the volume of fat. Instead focus on a more gradual and disciplined weight loss program that is focused on long term goals instead of immediate results.

One of the most popular treatments for sagging skin after weight loss is Titan Tissue Tightening, a procedure that uses infrared light to coax the collagen in your skin dermis to contract and tighten. This is a non-surgical procedure but there are also a number of cosmetic surgery procedures that can address the problem of sagging skin on face. Most of these methods are unfortunately extremely expensive and require surgery. On the other hand there a number of natural home remedies and facial exercise that can help cope with the problem.

One of the most effective remedies for wrinkles or sagging skin is facial exercise. Facial yoga is just one such facial exercise routine and it strengthens and tones all the muscles of the face and neck improving blood circulation, and giving your facial skin a toned and smooth appearance. Moreover this form of sagging skin treatment is inexpensive and just requires that you dedicate fifteen minutes a day to the exercises.

In addition to facial exercises there are some home remedies to reduce sagging skin on face after weight loss that you can try out. Mix the whites of two eggs along with the oil from a vitamin E capsule and apply it evenly over your face. Leave it on until it dries and starts to peel. Egg whites help keep your skin firm and prevent sagging, while vitamin E oil nourishes and fortifies your skin. Massage your face with fresh pineapple juice as this reduces the appearance of fine wrinkles. Make sure that you include foods like flaxseed, fish and avocadoes in your daily diet. These foods are rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fats, which are essential for a healthy toned skin.
