Your question is a little confusing - exactly what bumps are these that you are referring to? If you are referring to swelling that was caused by impact with a blunt object, then this mark will disappear on its own within a rather short time. Hopefully, you have already got the required treatment for the injury itself. For most such bumps, ice and rest would be adequate treatment, but if the impact was great or if there is very severe pain, then you might have a more serious injury that requires medical attention. Usually, such injuries will not leave any marks on the skin - if the bump itself remains, then you should ask your doctor about it. Also, if there is some amount of bruising, then a mark will remain for a while, even after the swelling has gone and the bruise has healed. However, this is typical of bruises, and is nothing for you to worry about. No treatment is needed either, as the mark will gradually fade with time. Depending on how severe the bruise was, the mark will take a few weeks or several months to disappear.

Similarly, if the marks on your legs have been left behind by boils or some other kind of rash or inflammation, then you will need to be patient. Boils and rashes often leave behind spots of dark skin, and this is known as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In the aftermath of the inflammation caused by the boil or rash, the affected areas of skin produce an excess of melanin, causing the skin to become darker than it normally is. This is completely normal and harmless, and your skin will gradually return to normal over time. Hopefully you have already addressed the fundamental cause of the problem, which is whatever was responsible for the boils or the rash in the first place.

If you want, you can try some simple treatments or home remedies to make the marks fade a little faster, but these treatments have only limited effectiveness. One is applying aloe gel on your skin daily, preferably fresh off a plant, or else packaged gel that is available commercially. Similarly, you can apply vitamin E, which is available in the form of an oil, and is very good for the skin. You can also rub a mixture of honey and turmeric powder into your skin everyday - this is a traditional treatment that is highly beneficial for the skin.
