Abrasions are caused when the skin is rubbed off your body and this is usually caused by a hard fall. In such cases the abrasions heal depending on how seriously the skin has been affected. Deep wounds take longer to heal while milder ones heal faster since they are usually only scratches on the surface of the skin. Deeper abrasions require medical attention. In addition to the medical attention you can also help your abrasions heal faster. First of all, you should ensure that you maintain a very high standard of hygiene since dirty hands can cause the abrasions to become infected. The care you take of your abrasions will decide how long they take to heal. Since your abrasions are on the nose, you should ensure that you keep your hands away form them. Keep the dressing clean and change it regularly. Once the abrasions have healed you can apply vitamin E oil on the skin to speed up the curing of the skin. Application of Aloe Vera juice is also effective. Sunbathing can help tan the skin and make sure that it does not stand out because of its pale color.

Hyperpigmentation is a harmless condition. When a person suffers from hyperpigmentation patches of the skin turn a darker shade. Melanin is the pigment that gives our skin the brown color. When melanin is in excess it forms deposits. This causes the appearance of darker spots on the exposed parts of the body. Hyperpigmentation is a common, usually harmless condition in which patches of skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin. Hyper pigmentation can affect the skin color of people of any race.

Usually the skin which is exposed to the sun sports spots that are darker in color. Women who are pregnant can also experience hyper pigmentation. Women who take the birth control pill regularly also have hyperpigmentation. The period when the skin sports these spots of varies from one woman to another. Some women may find that a few days after they have had their baby the darker spots fade away. Other women find that when they stop taking the birth control pills their spots fade away. Staying out of the sun and keeping away from medication, unless it is absolutely necessary, are some easy ways to ensure that your skin does not suffer from hyperpigmentation.
