Apple cider vinegar for dandruff treatment and white vinegar for toenail fungus

The home remedies for dandruff and toe nail fungus both use apple cider vinegar. Would regular white vinegar be just as good?

In place of apple cider vinegar, it is possible to use regular white vinegar. But it is not advisable. This is because the harshness of the two vinegars differs. Keep in mind that vinegar is nothing but an acid. If you are using it for any problem, it is for the purposes of using the acidity of the vinegar to kill any kind of infection, dirt, or anything else. Apple cider vinegar is milder than regular white vinegar, which tends to be sold in its natural form. While you can easily use both for remedial measures, it is better you use apple cider vinegar, at least in your hair and scalp. This is because while the vinegar may be a very successful measure in treating the dandruff in your hair, it is possible that it may actually damage your roots and strands and weaken them as well. You do not want to get rid of one problem in exchange for another. In order to get rid of toenail fungus, it is always possible to use regular white vinegar. This is because the vinegar will act as a toxin and will greatly assist in destroying the fungus that has taken up residence in your nails. But for these particular problems, you can also use a host of other remedies.

In order to take care of dandruff, you can rub half a lime into your hair before washing it. Let this dry out, and once you start feeling the itch, wash it of with your regular shampoo. Alternately, you can also use freshly squeezed orange juice for the same purpose. This will also react the same way and will help to get rid of your problem tremendously. It is also important that you wash your hair everyday with a mild shampoo to get rid of dandruff. This measure will help you a lot. Use a natural, herb based and organic shampoo. It is avoidable to use an anti dandruff shampoo, since all it will do is work only when applied to the hair and scalp. For toenail fungus, you can also apply thick layers of tea tree oil before bedtime. This will allow the oil to work its remarkable anti fungal properties overnight. You may even get rid of your infection in as little as a couple of days. You should also avoid wearing nail polish and keep your nails trimmed short to take care of this particular problem.
