Shiny hair is always hair that has been pampered. Your hair will look bouncy and shine with life if you learn how to take car of it. First of all you should learn to protect your hair from all the harmful effects of pollution. You should wear a scarf around your hair when you go out. You should avoid using very harsh shampoos or other chemicals on your hair. If you frequently use straightening irons or any other treatments on your hair, you rob your hair of the natural nutrients. This can cause the hair to look dull and lifeless. The first step towards shiny healthy hair is oil massage. This should be an integral part of your beauty treatments. Use warm coconut oil to massage your scalp. Leave this oil on for at least an hour before you wash it off. When washing your hair remember to check the temperature of the water. Very hot water can strip your hair of all protective nutrients. You should learn to use only lukewarm water. Use plenty of water to rinse out the shampoo. Select a shampoo that suits your hair and cleans it without using a lot of strong chemicals. Your conditioner too should be selected with great care.

Regularly applying Aloe Vera gel can also make your hair look shiny and bounce with life. You can simply slit the leaf of an Aloe Vera plant and use the gel inside on your hair and scalp. This will dry in an hour and can then be washed off. You should also use a regular treatment using Indian gooseberry. This is available in an easy to use powdered format. Mix three teaspoons with some water and boil. Leave this overnight and in the morning apply this on your hair and scalp. Use plenty of lukewarm water to get it out of your hair. This will not only prevent the appearance of white hair, but will also improve the texture of your hair. Similarly you can try using henna once a month. Mix henna with water and leave this out overnight in an iron cooking pot. In the morning use this on your hair and wash off when it has dried. You can also use the white of an egg on your hair. Add a few drops of lemon juice to the beaten up raw egg and apply this on your hair and scalp. Mix a few drops of lemon juice to the water that you are going to use to rinse your hair a last time when bathing. This helps develop a shiny look on the hair.
