Natural Treatment for Scars on Skin
It is not always possible to remove a scar completely. Whether or not you can remove a scar completely would depend upon factors such as the size, severity and age of the scar. It is always possible, however, to lighten the scar considerably. One of the best solutions for this is to use lime juice on the scar. Clean the area thoroughly with just water and rub lime juice over the scar and leave it on for ten minutes. Avoid washing this off with soap, as it may result in darkening your skin. Plain water works well. If you use this remedy, remember to avoid going out in the sun without sunscreen, as this will make your skin more prone to tanning.
You can crush a whole onion and apply the fresh juice to your scar. Although this procedure will take a long time, sometimes maybe even months, it will work very effectively towards lightening your scars. Aloe Vera gel is another solution to fade away your scars. You can apply this and leave it on. The other things you can apply to scars are cucumber juice and raw potato juice. Both will help to lighten your scars considerably. Make a paste of sandalwood and rose water and use this top exfoliate your skin. This will help to level your scars to some extent. You can also use Silicone, which is available in gel or sheet form, and is very effective in lightening, and in some cases, even flattening scars.
