There could be many explanations as to what these lumps on your feet are. But the simplest ones seem to be the answer here. Sometimes, swelling occurs on the soles of feet when you spend the entire day standing or walking. There are times when this swelling looks like lumps. From your description, it is possible to discern that you spend the bulk of your day standing or walking and get very little opportunities to sit down. The soles of your feet could be swollen due to this. When your feet have reaches the limit of endurance in terms of carrying your weight, then they will begin to itch, signaling that the swelling is about to occur. After this, there is swelling in the parts where the maximum pressure is felt. Since you have stated that they come on by evening and are gone by morning, chances are that once you have adequately rested your feet, they are fine again. This seems to be the most plausible explanation for your lumps and pain. However, it is advisable that you get this checked out by a doctor as well. Although the chances are not very high, there is a possibility that you may be suffering from something else like corns or lesions on your feet. In any case, if you are faced with tiredness and swelling of the feet, there are a few things you can do to take care of it.

The first thing you must do is to make it a point to sit with your feet elevated every couple of hours. This will not allow the blood to pool around your feet and make them swell. Instead, you will find it easier to walk after you have rested. You should also make it a point to always wear flat soled shoes. Even an inch of heel can worsen the situation of your feet. It is also important that you wear comfortable footwear. In the evenings, soak your feet in warm to hot water to which a tablespoon of Epsom salts has been added. Epsom salts are very effective in getting rid of the pain as well as swelling of any kind associated with feet. Regular salt also works just as well. Even when you sleep, make it a point to keep your feet elevated. Keep a pillow at the foot of your bed. This will always help to keep your feet free of swelling and pain.
