One of the best and most effective methods you can use to remove the scabies mites from your skin is to use the sauna and steam. Scabies cannot withstand any amount of heat, so this method will kill them fastest and most quickly. Take a sauna to which any citrus oil has been added. You can use orange oil, lime oil or even apricot oil for this purpose. The combination of dry heat and the oil will be very successful in killing off the mites in as little as two exposures. While citrus oils are rare, they are very useful in killing germs and mites of all kinds. They will also sanitize your skin in this process. While washing your clothes and bedding, make sure you do the final rinse in hot water to which a few drops of any citrus oil has been added. This will ensure that any mites left in your clothes and bedding are removed effectively from there. Although this hardly ever happens, because scabies mites are parasitic and cannot survive without the warmth and nutrition they get from the human body. This is the reason scabies can comfortably survive on the surface of your skin for months. Sometimes, long periods of time will elapse before you know you are infected. This is because the scabies mites strengthen from generation to generation. Their bites probably start bothering you when they are well into their fourth or fifth generation. And this will take about a month or longer to happen.
One of the most highly effective remedial measures to use in getting rid of the scabies mite is to wash your body in a sulfur based shampoo with extremely hot water. Make sure you keep the shampoo applied to your body for at least about 10 minutes before you wash it off. The active ingredient of sulfur will take at least that much time to work effectively on the mites and kill them off. You can buy any sulfur based shampoo quite easily at the pharmacy. It does not require a prescription either. Washing your body with a solution of lime juice and hydrogen peroxide will also successfully kill the mites. You can soak in a tub of hot water to which you have added a cup each of these two ingredients. This will help you a great deal. It will also sanitize your skin and prevent from any more infestations in the future.
