A red spot sounds like a pimple. However, you have not mentioned if there is any pain in the spot. Also you have not mentioned if it right on your eye. If it on the outer lid of your eye it could be a sty. However, if it is under your eye, then it is possibly only a pimple. However if the pimple begins to hurt then you may have to consult a doctor. Watch your face to see if the spots spread to other parts of your face.
One of the first things you should do is wash your face with warm water. Remember to splash water liberally on your face. Dry your face using a soft towel and with soft patting motions rather than rubbing it dry. Avoid touching the spot frequently since this could cause it to spread. You should try hot fomentation on the pimple. Dip a soft towel in warm water and then hold this against the pimple. Repeat this. This will help reduce the pimple and stop it looking so red. Some people recommend using toothpaste on the pimple. You can try it if you feel particularly courageous but remember to wash it off in a very short while. Also remember to use the normal toothpaste and not the gel variety. Honey is a better way to get rid of the pimple. Simply dab on a small amount on the pimple and leave it there, covered with a clean cotton swab. You can also use the juice extracted from a raw papaya on your pimple. You will have to grate a small piece of raw papaya and squeeze it to get the juice. This can be applied on the pimple and left there to work its wonder on the boil. Heat three pods of clove in a pan without any oil. Now cool them and then grind them. Add a little yogurt to this and apply on your pimple. You will find that this helps to draw out the pimple and to dry it up very quickly. If you suffer from pimples on a regular basis you can try this remedy to ensure that you don't' get any more pimples. You can also use raw potato slices on the pimple since this will help bring down the pimple instantly. Grated raw potato, tied up in a muslin bag and applied on the pimple can also work wonders. You should avoid eating oily, fatty food items and instead stick to salads and soups.
