If you have coarse or rough hair, then the most likely reason for this is that you have under nourished hair. In order to take care of this particular problem and grow soft hair, what you would need to do is make sure your hair strands as well as roots are getting maximum amount of nourishment. Healthy and shiny hair is usually a result of proper nourishment and care of hair. If you have been neglecting routines and daily procedures to take care of your hair, then you will be stuck with coarse and dry hair. To begin growing soft hair, you should start following a twice weekly routine of oiling your hair and applying hot water fomentation. This will result in proper nourishment of your hair. You can apply olive, lavender, almond or coconut oil. Any of these will work to deeply nourish and condition your hair. For best results apply warm oil and massage it in. leave it overnight and wash with warm water the next morning. It is always inadvisable to use hot water, as this will tend to weaken your hair roots as well as strands. Before you wash your hair the next morning, wrap a hot towel around your head and leave it on till it begins to cool. Repeat this procedure a few times and your fomentation will be effectively complete. After this, wash the oil off with shampoo.
Try to keep your hair length short. This is easier to control as well as manage and will always look healthier and better than long hair. You should also make it a point to condition your hair for best results. Conditioner will also add to the shine and gloss of your hair. It is always preferable to use a shampoo as well as conditioner that is natural and organic. These are usually preferable to ones that have an abundance of harsh chemicals in them. For deep conditioning your scalp, you should apply henna once a month. This is the best natural conditioner you can find. Make a paste like mixture of one egg, henna powder and a teaspoon of olive oil. This should be systematically applied to your hair and roots and left for about 5 hours before washing off. You should also be aware that henna has a tendency to stain your hair reddish brown. The only thing with all of these suggestions is that they have to be followed on a regular basis, rather than once in a way.
