The first thing to know is whether your rashes on back are actively gone or not. If not, then you would have to remove those first. An excellent home grown remedy for taking care of rashes on back of the neck is to apply fresh yogurt on them. This will ensure that they go and will also make sure that your skin clears up, thus making it a two fold solution. Yogurt will clear up your skin without taking away essential oils and moisture from it. Another thing you can do for your rashes is that you can use an exfoliating agent on your back. This will help to remove the surface layer of dead skin which causes extreme discoloration as well as makes your skin look really bad. You must exfoliate thrice a week to begin with. More is better, but less will not work for you. Use any medicated exfoliating scrub available in the market. It is better to use medicated because these are also generally hypoallergenic. Otherwise, this will simply worsen the case. Once you are done with exfoliating, you must also apply a grease free moisturizer. Remember that this is a routine of cleanliness and hygiene that you must follow always.

You should also tone your skin on a daily basis. Using cucumber juice will successfully do this. This juice has the ability to even out the skin tone and will make your skin look good. Make sure you try this particular remedy for at least 2 months before you can see results. You can also use tomato juice. But keep in mind that tomato juice can only be used if your rashes are not open. Otherwise it may end up burning tremendously. If you want to sanitize your skin n the area, you can also use a few drops of lime juice in these juices. This will also help to lighten the dark color of your skin over a period of time. This is because lime juice is a natural bleaching agent. You should also try to use a pack on your back about once a week or so. You may need help with this. Mix black gram flour and yogurt to form a spreadable but thick paste. Apply this and once it begins to dry, rub it off. This is not exactly an effortless exercise, and you cannot do your back on your own. But it will show excellent results in about a couple of months.
