There are a variety of natural remedies which you can use to get rid of toe nail fungus. The first thing you need to determine, which you have not mentioned here is whether your nails have become discolored with the fungal growth. If this is the case, then apart from using natural remedies for toe nail fungus you need to take measures to remove the discoloration as well. To do this, make it a point to soak your feet in about 5 liters of warm water to which you have added a mix of one tablespoon mild bleach, one cup hydrogen peroxide and the juice of half a lime. This will help to remove any discoloration caused by the fungus. After you have soaked your feet in this solution for about half an hour, rinse your feet thoroughly and dry them with a towel. Immediately after, you can apply a layer of mild and non greasy cream to your feet to protect them from the harmful effects of bleach, if any. Do not apply cream to your toes. You should instead apply thick layers of diluted tea tree oil to your feet. Use a cotton swab to push the oil beneath your nails in particular. You can dilute tea tree oil by adding double the amount of olive oil to it. It would need to be diluted since tea tree oil has a very strong impact on skin. If you have extra sensitive skin, it may affects your skin adversely, even despite the fact that the skin on the feet in normally tough. The best time to do this would be at night. Because after applying the tea tree oil, you should wear thick socks and go to sleep. This will give the oil a chance to work uninterrupted on your fungus all night. This is the best remedy for your fungal infection, since tea tree oil is a very strong and good natural anti fungal healer.

Other measures you can take are to keep your toenails trimmed short. This will automatically not allow the fungus to fester in your feet. Nails have a tendency to pick up and harbor all sorts of infections. This is also why you would need to apply the oil beneath your toenails. You should also stick to wearing open toed shoes instead of closed ones. This will enable your feet to breathe better, thus preventing the growth of fungus in your feet. Wash your feet frequently and always keep them clean and dry.
