You can use a variety of measures for sore scar removal and to get rid of old scars left by sores on your body. But before you try to use anything at all, you should be aware that it is not always possible to remove old scars. You may succeed in lightening them to a certain extent, but to remove them altogether is almost impossible. This is because scars indicate the formation of scar tissue. When the skin tears, there is scar tissue formation, which is what actually appears to us as scars. Since the natural texture of the skin has altered so much and the healing process is complete, there is no longer the possibility of changing this back to what it was. For most part, this reality about sore scar removal or any scar removal is what escapes most people. In any case, the discoloration that occurs when sores leave scars may be reduced. Skin of any color can always be lightened to some extent. Depending upon how much the damage is, it will take that much time accordingly. In any and all cases, scar removal attempts take long. You cannot expect miraculous results when you are faced with the challenging prospect of trying to remove your scars. The other important thing is that you must doggedly keep at your efforts. It takes a long time for results to show, and if you lag in your attempts, you will have taken several steps backwards in the scar lightening process.

To begin with, you can start exfoliating your skin. This is an excellent way to get rid of the topmost layer of dead skin that is invariably always left behind. This alone will help you to maintain an even skin tone. Make it a point to exfoliate at least once a week. You can buy an exfoliating scrub off the shelf, or make your own at home. This can also be done according to your skin type. For dry skin, make a mixture of olive oil and crystalline sugar and a few drops of lime juice. For oily skin, use coarsely ground walnuts, yogurt and a few drops of lime juice. Scrub the entire area where the scars are present for at least about 10 minutes before a bath. You must also make it a point to apply a skin pack to your scarred skin once a week. Make this with a pulp of tomato and pineapple. Always add a few drops of lime juice, as this will improve your efforts.
