There are several ways to whiten dark color of your underarms. The important thing to know before you set out to whiten dark underarms is why and how your underarms have become darker than the rest of your skin in the first place. This darkness is usually a result of excessive perspiration in your underarms. This leads to darkening of the color. Since perspiration contains uric acid in large quantities, it tends to darken the color of your skin over a period of time. So the most important thing is that you should try to keep your skin free of perspiration as much as possible. If possible, try to bathe twice a day. This will ensure that there are no sweaty deposits accumulating on the skin in your underarms. Try to use a natural and hypo allergenic soap. This will always help to keep your skin clear and free of any or all infections. It is inadvisable for you to use perfumes, since these contain alcohol, which will always tend to darken your skin further, rather than lightening it. The same rule applied for using anti perspirants. It is not considered to be healthy to use something that will block your sweat pores either. This can only have dire results in the long run. Instead, it is better for you to use plain talcum powder. Talc is a highly absorbent substance that will absorb moisture and will also leave behind a pleasant fragrance. It is also quite safe to use since it does not tend to leave behind dark marks. Once you have started perspiring lesser than before, you can be assured that this will make a positive difference. However, make it a point to be patient as this may take a few months to show results.

In order to lighten the color of your underarms, you can also apply cucumber juice to them. This will also make a huge difference in lightening the skin color there. Alternately, you can also apply tomato pulp or fresh tomato juice. Another natural type of bleach is fresh yogurt. This can also lighten the color of your skin considerably. You would have to leave these substances on your skin for at least about 10 to 20 minutes each time to see positive results. They can all also be washed off with plain water for effective use. Just remember that you should continue with these measures for at least a few months before you see a visible difference.
