There are several ways to take care of ringworm effectively, no matter how effective it is. Although the effect of brake fluid is not really known on the presence of ringworm, it is hardly the most appealing remedy that you may want to employ. The first thing is that it is a smelly substance. The second thing is that it will dirty all the clothes that come in contact with it. You can use alternatives that are easier to handle and work with and work around. Ring worm is a fungal infection. Like all other living organisms, fungi also need to breathe. The basic need for air is what urges ringworm to show up on skin. One of the most effective ways to kill this infection is to, literally, choke the ringworm to death. Apply castor oil on each protuberance of the infection. You can also apply simple tape or band aids after applying the castor oil. This will kill the ringworm very effectively and well. This is one of the oldest known and most highly effective remedies available at home to kill ringworm. It is believed to show results in as little as a week. But make it a point to keep at it for that time.

Another very useful remedy for getting rid of ringworm is to apply organic vinegar to it. This may sting a little bit at first application, but it will work very well. Vinegar is basically citric acid, and it will easily kill the ringworm. But it is also good to know that this remedy does not suit everyone. If it does not agree with your son and you see his condition unchanged within a week, please stop using it. There are other things you can do as well. One of the most highly effective remedial measures to get rid of ringworm is to dab some tea tree oil to it. However, please note that if your son in below the age of three, you cannot try this remedy. Tea tree oil is a very strong substance, and may not be used on children for anything at all. It may cause untold harm and damage to their skin, as well as eyes, if it chances to come in contact. It is a risk better avoided. You can also place horseradish slices on the ringworm. This will kill it as well. Try these remedies for about two weeks before you consult with a doctor.
