Acne is basically a skin rash that can be caused by various reasons. When you get acne you find that your skin is inflamed. Acne can usually be seen on the face, back, neck, chest and even shoulders. This is a very common skin complaint and can be cured with some simple home remedies. You should first of all take care to ensure that your personal hygiene is very good. Always wash your face with water and pat it dry. You can also mix one teaspoon of lemon juice with one teaspoon of rose water. Apply this on the acne affected area with a clean cotton swab and let it stay for half an hour before you wash it off. Repeated and regular application will help reduce acne. Mash a ripe avocado till it forms a paste and use this to wash your face. You can also cook three teaspoons of oatmeal in some water and then cool it. Apply this on your acne and let it dry before you wash it. You can also use the white of a raw egg on your face. Use a cotton ball to apply it on the acne and let it dry. Cucumber juice will also give your relief from acne and help it heal faster. Grate a cucumber and extract the juice. You can also boil two tea bags in a cup of water, along with around ten leaves of basil. Cool this liquid and then use a cotton ball to apply this on the acne. You will find that a mixture of sandalwood powder and rose water is very effective in clearing the acne.

You will find that if you take care to ensure that you eat only healthy food and make some changes to your lifestyle and eating habits, your acne will disappear. You will have to completely stop eating oily food. Substitute all fried food with vegetables. Increase your intake of fruits of all kinds. Vegetables either raw and in the form of salads of else cooked lightly are excellent. Eat one radish every day and drink herbal tea instead of the normal one. Cut down on food that contains white flour, sugar and cheese and stay away from sweets and chocolates. Carbonated drinks too should be avoided and if possible you should cut down on your alcohol intake. In addition to this you should sleep for at least eight hours every night and take regular physical exercise.
