I have black dots in my nose. I feel they are hair roots but how can I completely get rid of them?

The black dots on your nose are not hair roots. They are blackheads. Blackheads are basically caused by an oily skin. What happens is that some people have follicles that have a wider opening than that of others. These openings are filled with the oil secreted by our sebaceous glands. Sloughed off dead cells also block these openings. A natural reaction causes these to become black colored. These are fairly common and you will find them on the face, chest, back and other areas of the body that have sebaceous glands. If you don't follow hygienic practices regarding your face and hands, then these become worse. The pollution is another cause for the development of blackheads on various parts of our body. One of the first things you will have to do is to ensure that you always keep your face clean and fresh. Remember to wash your face at regular intervals with water. You can also steam your face over a basin of hot water. This will help clear the pores. You can then use a variety of scrubs to remove the blackheads. A simple remedy is mixing two teaspoons of cinnamon powder with a few drops of lemon juice to make a paste. This can be applied on your face at bedtime and washed off in the morning. If you can find tender leaves of the neem tree, then you can grind these and add a pinch of Turmeric powder to it. Apply this on your blackheads for around half an hour and then wash it off.

You can also grind mint leaves and then add a pinch of Turmeric to this. This can be applied on your face for twenty minutes and then washed off. Break a raw egg and extract only the white of the egg. Beat it and then apply it on your face. This will dry in ten to fifteen minutes. Use some water to wash this off and scrub your face lightly while doing this. Mix a pinch each of red sandalwood power and turmeric and then add some milk to make a paste. This should be applied on the blackheads for a very effective and easy removal. You can also peel and grate a raw potato and apply this on the blackheads. This is very effective in getting rid of the blackheads. You will find that your blackheads disappear faster if you also make changes to your diet and living habits. You should stop eating oily food and instead eat more salads and fruits.
