You seem to have a number of issues with your hair, and before you can address any of them you need to first realize that each person's hair has certain natural characteristics that cannot be forcibly changed beyond a point. On an average, hair grows at a rate of approximately one centimeter a month - it might be that your hair naturally grows slower than this. Each person's hair also has a maximum length, which is determined mainly by the duration of the anagen phase of growth, which is the phase during which hair actually grows. Once the anagen phase is over, hair stops growing, and eventually falls out. Regular trims and hair care can ensure that your hair does continue to grow throughout the natural length of anagen phanse, but you cannot make it grow any longer. Other characteristics, such as texture and color, are also genetically determined and cannot be changed, except by using procedures such as hair straightening or hair curling, which are not advisable. If you naturally have curly hair that does not shine, you may not be able to do much about it.

However, that said, you should not get discouraged. Most people's hair care is not up to the mark, and with a little more effort and care, you should be able to considerably improve the way your hair looks. One thing you need is regular trimming - people trying to grow their hair often avoid cutting it for months, but this is a mistake. A regular trim gets rid of the damaged ends of hair, prevents the damage from spreading up the shaft, and thus allows the healthy portion of the hair to continue to grow. In addition, regular shampooing and conditioning with suitable products is very important. Remember that what works for someone else might not work for you - you need to find suitable products for your hair through trial and error. Regular oiling and combing are also important parts of hair care. However, combing should never be done when hair is wet or damp, as this is a sure way to break it. Allow your hair to dry, detangle it with your fingers, and only then comb it. Regular oiling is also important and should be done at the right time - at least one hour before you wash your hair, and if possible, the previous night. Finally, you need to ensure that you are eating a healthy, balanced diet. Hair requires a number of nutrients, and if even a single one is lacking, your hair will suffer.
