If you are not convinced about what your doctor is saying regarding the condition of your feet, it is advisable that you get a second opinion. In all likelihood, if your doctor has diagnosed you with allergies after seeing you for the first time, she or he will stick to that diagnosis. Doctors hardly change their diagnosis unless there is a drastic change in the disease or its symptoms. In case you are indeed suffering from allergies, there would be a proper course of medication that you would have to follow. All you can do in terms of taking remedial measures at home would be to increase your immunity. This can be done by taking a daily dose of Indian gooseberry, nature's richest source of vitamin C. This can be easily bought in powder or pill form in all stores that sell natural and organic goods. If you cannot find this, you can also take a daily dosage of Echinacea. This is also a plant that will help to improve upon your general immunity. This product is also available in similar stores.

In case your diagnosis is different from allergies, you can also take some other steps to take care of your foot condition by making sure you are treating the skin of your feet properly and preventing the problem from repeatedly arising. To take care of the dry and chapped areas, you can follow this routine. Soak your feet in warm to hot water for a good 15 minutes. After this, massage your feet thoroughly with olive oil. This is a therapeutic product and it will also help to moisturize your feet very thoroughly. At the same time, it will also heal any minor surface infection or bacterial presence. You must then cover your feet with socks. It is preferable to follow this routine at night so that the oil gets a chance to work on your feet uninterrupted. This will make a difference by almost 50 per cent within a day or two, especially if your problem is that of dry skin. To take care of the itching, you can apply a paste made of sandalwood powder and rose water. This will help to soothe your skin as well. If you add a pinch of turmeric powder to this, it will also help towards healing your skin. To ease the blisters, you can make and apply a paste of turmeric powder and clarified butter to your feet.
