The simplest and most effective solution for tired eyes is sleep. Although it sounds as if it is too simple to work, this is actually true. Sleep is the best way to help rejuvenate the eyes. If your eyes are in sufferance due to overuse, then you should try to keep that in check as well. For instance, if you are involved in a job that requires you to be in front of a screen, or do some minute work such as stitching or embroidery or some such specific skill, you should be aware that the eyes will suffer from extreme fatigue because of this too. In order to keep your eyes healthy and prevent tiredness, make it a point to take breaks every hour or so. Simply close your eyes for about two minutes, and you will notice a marked difference in your levels of tiredness. If possible, you can also add rose water to your eyes to provide relief from the tiredness. Even if you splash regular water, you will see that your eyes are relatively less tired at the end of the day. For those who work before a screen, you should make it a point to consciously blink your eyes regularly. Most of the time, fatigue in such cases is due to the act of staring unblinkingly at a screen. If you can remember to blink your eyes, they will not experience so much strain.
There are also a couple of other steps you can take to relieve your tired eyes. Applying cucumber slices to them once a day will make you feel rejuvenated very quickly. You should chill them before applying to your eyes. Alternately, you can also use chilled tea bags for the same purpose. This will also work beautifully in taking care of tired eyes. Most people underestimate the importance of sleep. You should know that when you sleep, it is not just your eyes but also your entire body that gets a lot of rest. It is absolutely essential to get eight straight hours of sleep every single day. Of course exceptions do occur now and then, but you should try to stick to the eight hour rule as much as you can. This will help you revive your mind, body and eyes fully to face a new day. You should also be aware that only a few days after you have started making these changes will you be able to see results.
