From your description, it can be said that you have what is known as typically acne prone skin. People with this skin type often suffer from a lot of pimples and scarring. Acne scars can be extensive and are often pitted. They can also cause the pores to become enlarged. The thing to do with this kind, or any other kind of problematic skin, for that matter, is to follow regular maintenance schedules for it. You will have to be very vigilant about what you eat as well, since that is also a large contributing factor in how your skin appears. No matter how many creams you use, if you have a faulty diet, your skin will never have a healthy glow. So to start with, you will have to make some changes right there. You should cut back on excessively oily and fried food. Keep in mind that canned and processed food also contains chemicals. The body generally reacts to these chemicals and you will experience an increase in skin problems after you consume canned products. Avoid canned and processed foods as much as possible especially those that are preserved in syrups. The next step to take is to start drinking at least 10 glasses of water per day. This will help to clear out your skin a lot. Switch over to a healthier diet, one that is loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables.

You should also start toning and cleansing your skin on a daily basis. Use fat free milk to cleanse your face at night. After that, wash your face with plain water and then apply a decent toner. You can use cucumber juice for excellent results. This will also help with closing your pores to some extent, not to mention clearing and evening out the tone and texture of your skin. You can also use a light, alcohol free astringent for this purpose. If you want, you can make your own astringent at home. Crush a few camphor crystals and add it to a large bottle of water. Allow the bottle to stand for a few days and shake it everyday to stir it up. . Be aware that camphor has a very strong smell which you might want to check out before you keep it on overnight. An astringent will help by closing your pores. An extremely hot and humid climate can cause the pores to open further and therefore get clogged more readily. If you live in an area that has such a climate, make sure that you clean your face regularly with warm water to get rid of all excess oil and grime. Make sure that you rinse your face with cold water to shrink your pore size.
