Alternative Treatment for Damaged Hair

Overusing thermal products as irons etc does really damage the hair and results in thinning of hair. Therefore, the first thing that you should do is avoid using it. There are several other natural options available for shaping your hair.

As you are facing thinning of hair on the top, because of which your temples have started to appear you, need to do remedies for improving the hair growth. Note that restoring your hair will take some time and therefore you need to follow these remedies with some patience.

One of the methods is taking the right nutrition, which is required for good hair growth. Some of the essential nutrients can help are vitamins E, vitamins of the B-complex group, minerals especially irons, etc.

Applying hair oils and other hair care products as well provide all these nutrients to the hair. Shampoos are helpful, however they too can damage hair if over used. Therefore, use them carefully. These days' shampoos, which are free from such harmful chemicals, are available in the market.

Regular massaging of the scalp will improve the health of the scalp and root hairs. This too will lead to an increased hair growth rate. Massage can be done for about 10 to 15 minutes twice in week.

Home remedies for hair growth

The only way to start with repairing this kind of severe damage to the hair and scalp is to start with following some simple remedies on a regular basis targeted at encouraging regrowth of fresh hair. Although the damage you describe is fairly severe and most likely permanent, you can try some tricks and see if they work. You can apply a mix made of fresh onion juice and honey to your balding areas and wash it off after an hour or so. Onions are the only product known to regrow hair once it has been eliminated from the scalp.

Brahmi is yet another herb that can help you out. It is easily available in powder form over the counter in shops that sell natural and organic products. You can make a paste of brahmi and coconut oil and apply this to your hair about thrice a week. Keep it on for a couple of hours before washing, and you will over a period of time that your hair is growing back. Do keep in mind that this is a very slow process, so you will need to be patient. You must also make it a point to massage your hair with warm olive oil and leave it overnight. This will heal scalp and help with improving the general health of your hair.

Natural Treatment for Damaged Hair due to Straightening Iron

It is not possible to say for sure whether your hair will grow back normally. You seem aware of the damage you have done to your hair for three years. Sometimes, it is not possible to undo such damage, especially when it is the result of such long term abuse, which may have caused damage to the hair follicles themselves. If hair follicles are dead, new hair will not grow back.

Although it is extremely difficult to regrow hair, you can certainly make sure that you do not lose any more hair by taking care of the hair that you do have left. Your hair loss is clearly related to your hair care habits, and therefore it will not progress once these habits change. Since you are aware of the effect that they have had on your hair, hopefully you are no longer trying to straighten it and pull it back tightly. In addition, you should be careful with your choice of hair care products, including the shampoo and conditioner you use. Experiment and find the ideal products and frequency of washing your hair. Be sure never to comb your hair when it is wet. Let it dry, and then comb it, using your fingers to detangle any knots in the hair. Applying coconut oil regularly will also help. You can apply the oil at night, making sure that it coats your scalp and your hair from root to tip.
