Natural Skin Care

Generally, skin does become dry with age. However, in this condition a good and nutritious diet can be helpful. Increase the intake of the vitamins as vitamin E, C, D, B-complex, etc. Moreover, the minerals as well play a very important role in the maintenance of the skins health. Simple exercises as well are very helpful for this purpose. Do the exercises, which increase the supply of blood to the skin. This as well can cause an increase in the nutrient supply to the skin.

Avoid very strong chemical soaps. They can increase the dryness of your skin. Instead, you can use the Light soaps specially made for dry skin. They are widely available in the market.

Today there are several products available for the dry skin. They remain on the skin for sometime and until then they keep it moist. As you have said that you also have a dark complexion you can use the products which in addition to keeping the skin moist also helpful in improving the complexion. Moisturizers also offer protection from direct sunlight however; the dry skin should be protected from the direct sunlight. Therefore, try to prevent direct sunlight on the skin wherever possible.

Alternative treatment for dark complexion

Dry skin can be a result of many natural as well as artificial factors. One of the commonest reasons for dry skin is the general neglect of your skin, and the absence of a daily skin care routine. You must make it a point to start taking care of your skin on a daily basis. Moisturizing twice a day is a very good beginning. Use a moisturizer that is meant for dry skin. Preferably, use one that is grease free, so that your skin does not look darker and oily. Another reason for dry skin is that you do not use enough protection from the sun when you go out of the house. Try to make it a habit to use sunscreen when you are leaving the house. This way, you will ensure that your skin does not get darker due to exposure to the sun and you will also be saved from the drying effects of too much sunlight.

In order to take care of the dryness, you can also try to include getting a facial into your monthly regimen. Once a month, saturating your skin with essential oils and creams should work wonders to reduce the dryness. You can follow this up with applying a hydrating face mask which will ensure that your skin does not dry up once you are done with the facial.

Home Remedies to Treat Dark Complexion

The best way to stay fit is to exercise regularly, as exercise helps in reducing your stress levels and increases your energy levels. This helps give your body the ability to maintain its homeostatic balance, which is essential to the maintenance of healthy and well toned skin. The next step is to maintain a diet that does not contain an excess of processed and refined foods or sugars. Focus on eating fruits, vegetables, fish and poultry, as they contain vitamins and nutrients essential for healthy skin. You can also use lotions and creams or a mild soap but these remedies only work temporarily to stop the skin from drying. Therefore you must drink a lot of water in order to keep your self hydrated and also consume foodstuffs that are high in natural fats, the reason being that the water and the fats are essential to keeping your skin well moisturised and healthy. This is possibly the one way you can maintain your skin naturally and in the convenience of your home.

When going outside use a sunscreen lotion to prevent excess loss of moisture from your body and also damage to the integrity of your skin by the sun. Use a face pack consisting of fruits rich in vitamins as they have a good effect on dry skin. After the application of these face packs use a mild moisturiser to help your skin retain the moisture gained from the pack.
