Skin Care for Teens If you are a teenager, you would need to begin following a basic routine of skin maintenance as this is the time when skin behaves in the most volatile fashion due to constantly changing hormones. You should begin with following a basic routine of maintenance that includes two simple steps; cleansing and moisturization. While you can always buy products from the market for these two steps, it is very effective to use simple home remedies as well. It can also be more advantageous, as these will always be chemical free and natural and therefore not have any adverse effects.
If you buy from the market, try to buy organic cleansers and moisturizers. Also look for products that state "pH friendly" on the packaging, as this will ensure that the product is not changing the pH factor (the acidity and alkalinity) of your skin. It is also better to use a non-greasy moisturizer, as this will not make your skin excessively oily or leave oil deposits on the surface of your skin. Oil deposits tend to clog your skin and will eventually lead to blackheads and acne. If you are using home remedies, plain milk is the best cleanser available for your skin. It will also moisturize your skin to some extent. As a moisturizer, you can simple apply a thin layer of olive oil, as this promotes good skin health.
