The formation of Crow's feet is a natural process and happens to everybody at some point in their lives. The formation of crow's feet occurs due to one or more of many reasons including life-style, eating habits, genetic endowment, aging etc. These wrinkles do not require medical treatment. However if you feel that they are unsightly, there are several cosmetic procedures that are available. It is not advisable to go in for this surgery as it can have severe side effects including over-tightened skin that gives the eyes an almost alien appearance.

Thankfully, there are various home remedies that one can opt for to reduce the appearance of crow's feet. First of all if you're a person who is constantly exposed to sunlight and work outdoors, your best bet is to put on a pair of sun glasses whenever you are out in the sun. Skin that is exposed to direct sunlight is prone to wrinkles. Since the skin under and around the eyes is very thin and delicate, it will cause you to have crow's feet over a period of time. Use a good sunscreen to prevent further damage. Drink plenty of water as this keeps the body hydrated and the skin healthy. Dry skin is more prone to wrinkle up and look unhealthy. It is recommended that an average person should consume at least 8-10 oz of water daily.

Another major cause for the formation of wrinkles on skin is an unhealthy life style. Keeping irregular hours, not getting adequate sleep (it is recommended that an adult get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep per day) can increase the likelihood of wrinkles and crow feet on your skin and especially around your eyes. There are many facial exercises you could do. This helps because as we age our muscles get loose and regular exercise will prevent wrinkles from appearing.

Another way to prevent the appearance of crow feet is to ensure your intake of necessary vitamins and omega fatty acids. Vitamins, especially Vitamin C, help nourish the skin and keep it young. Egg white has been a woman's secret for beautiful skin for many generations. Apply the egg white with cotton below the eyes generously and leave it there for 15-20 minutes. The egg white helps tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Do not leave it on for too long and make sure you clean it in 15-20 minutes with warm water and cotton. Make sure it doesn't come in contact with yours eyes. Another way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and keep skin healthy is applying fresh Papaya juice as it helps hydrate the skin and makes it feel supple and young.
