Natural Ways to Cure Dandruff
In order to eliminate the stubborn problem of dandruff, you can start simply by adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your regular shampoo and using it as you normally do. This will help you greatly in clearing up your dandruff very quickly. Follow a twice-weekly procedure of applying warm almond or olive oil to your hair, leaving it on overnight and washing it off the next morning for a couple of months. An hour before you wash it, rub half a lime into your scalp. Once this dries and starts to itch, you should know that the lime is loosening dandruff from your scalp and is working.
Prepare a mix of whipped yogurt with a few drops of lime added to it and apply this to your hair and scalp. Let it work for about 20 minutes and wash as usual. This will also help tremendously in getting rid of dandruff. Make camphor wash and apply this to the roots of your hair. You can do this quite simply by crushing a few pieces of camphor and adding them to water. Let this stand for about two days and then use it to rinse out your hair. Please note that these remedies are very effective when used for about a month at a stretch, so do not expect results overnight.

Dandruff home remedies Dandruff is normal, but can get very irritating if not taken care off. It basically happens when the scalp starts to shed its dead skin cells in large amounts. The reasons dandruff occur are a poor diet, hormonal imbalances or lack of hygiene. The scales actually help absorb the excess oil secreted by the hair, but an excess build up needs to be remedied. Normally the best way to control dandruff is to massage your hair with coconut, olive or almond oil and leave it on for a whole night. The next morning before washing it out you need to apply lemon juice (one lemon).
Mehendi or henna will also help curb your dandruff problem. Mix the henna with lemon and yoghurt and then apply it to your hair. The mixture also helps promote healthy hair growth. Finally it is important to take preventive measures as well to prevent the excess of build of dandruff. Make sure you do not shampoo your hair everyday as it tends to dry your hair and scalp as well. A lot of times dandruff is also caused due to a bad diet, thus avoiding too much of spicy and junk food will help keep your stomach clean and your hair healthy.
