The symptoms you have described sound as though you have been having a persistent pimple which has been left unchecked and untreated. When this happens, there is a chance that the acne can spread around as well. This should not be left unchecked, as there is also a fear of it causing an infection. The first thing you should do is, get this area checked out by your local family doctor. It is much better to rule out all chances of an infection, rather than allow it to spread and take on larger proportions. Only a doctor can see and diagnose whether or not you are infected. If you cannot go to see a doctor for any reason, then you can try to take care of this problem yourself. To start with, you should try to avoid using an after shave lotion. Instead, after shaving, you should use an anti septic liquid on your face. This will help to prevent the spread of infection and is also very hygienic to use. You should also sterilize your razor, or try a new one. Sometimes, metallic objects like blades can actually cause the spread of infections. You should also try to use a different shaving cream for shaving, because it may be possible that your skin is sensitive and the shaving cream you use is not in agreement with your skin. Once you have made these changes, check to see if the situation improves.

If not, then try not to shave for a few days. It is also possible that running a razor over the areas is cutting your pimples open repeatedly. You should make a mixture of clarified butter and turmeric powder and apply this to your pimples for a few days. Keep applying intermittently off and on so that your facial skin can heal better and faster, as both these products have excellent healing properties. You can also make a mixture of sandalwood powder and rose water and apply this to your pimples. This helps in cooling down your skin, which is very useful while taking care of acne as well as pimples. This mixture will also provide relief to your pimples if they are painful in nature. Another excellent method to take care of pimples and sanitize your skin is to dab on a few drops of lime juice on your skin. But make sure you do not leave this on for too long, as it may leave behind marks.
