Treatment for Spots on Face

Generally, brown spots appear on the face during pregnancy. If you are pregnant, then the brown spots on your face might have appeared due to it. However, sometimes the brown spots or patches can appear without being pregnant also. The spots that appear during pregnancy are called chloasma or the mask of pregnancy and the spots that appear without pregnancy are called melasma. Generally, this disorder happens because of hormonal changes during pregnancy. It is one of the many skin changes that a woman can experience in and after pregnancy. If your problem is due to pregnancy, it will go away automatically few months after your delivery. The only thing that you can do for that is to cover your face from the sun, use sun blocks for that. Sometimes, these spots can appear due to birth control pills. You can get treatment from a skin specialist if the problem is unstoppable. Apart from that, the brown spots on the face appear due to old age. The age spots are a collection of pigment caused by contact to the sun. The age spots are most common in people that are over 55. You can use vitamin E oil to age spots daily and it will help decrease the flush of age spots.

Brown spots on face and lips advice

If this is a recent occurrence, it could have happened due to several reasons. It is possible that you have introduced a new medication or food to your system and this is a reaction to that. Sometimes, certain types of food or medicines are not easily tolerated by the body and the result of this intolerance is this kind of pigmentation that shows up on the body. It could also be a reaction to some new cream, lotion or soap that you have started using of late. Alternately, it could also be that your spots are simply dark tan marks that have occurred due to over exposure to the sun. You must examine each one of the reasons provided here and tick them off.

If it is a new kind of food or medication, then you must stop taking it at once. You must also stop using the cream, lotion or soap that you have started using anew in order to get rid of the problem. If this is a result of tanning, make it a point to apply sunscreen lotion every time you go out of the house and into the sun. You must also avoid going out between 10 am and 3 pm, which is the time when the sun is at its strongest. If you do not find any of these reasons suitably applicable in this case, find that none of these apply to you, it is best that you get a medical examination to determine the cause of the problem in order to find an appropriate cure for it.

Brown spots on face and lips advice

The reason these brown spots have occurred is probably due to an excessive build up of melanin, which is naturally produced by the skin to protect it from the suns ultraviolet rays. This excessive build often takes the form of brown spots and are known as sunspots or age spots.

The more conventional treatments used by people the world over are laser resurfacing treatments, creams, laser surgery and chemical peels. However it is absolutely important that you consult your doctor before you undertake any one of these treatments as they also have certain side effects and the treatment requires a qualified doctor's opinion.

However, when dealing with any problem, prevention is always better than cure and taking care of your skin will go a long way in preventing the further occurrence of brown spots. The best remedy is to avoid exposing yourself too much to the sun. Wear light clothing, and always apply sunscreen before you leave your house. The sunscreen is very important when it comes to protecting your skin from exposure to the sun and the damage it causes due to over exposure. The information provided above is only meant for basic preventive measures, it is recommended that you consult a dermatologist if your condition gets worse.
