At the age of 34, you should expect such changes. Unless this is taking place extremely suddenly and rapidly, you have nothing to worry about. You need to accept that you are growing older and that hair naturally turns white as you grow older. Most of us associate white hair with very old people or old age. However, the fact is that the first white hairs make their appearance by the age of 30. It is just that we do not really notice the white hair till it covers most of the scalp - this will take several years to happen. For some unlucky people, hair might start turning white before they have even reached 20. The age at which white hair appears is determined by one's genes, and you should be glad that your hair is losing color at what can be considered the normal, average age.

There isn't much you can do to stop or slow down this process, and you certainly cannot regain color in the hairs that have already turned white. Once the follicles stop producing melanin, there is no way to make it resume production. Therefore, once your hair has turned white, there is no way to turn it black again, unless you consider dyeing your hair. This is an option chosen by many people, but many others prefer to leave their hair the way it is. At the age of 34, a few white hairs will not really look out of place. It is people who go gray in their 20s who need dyeing, because the hair looks odd on such a young face. By the time you have a conspicuous amount of white hair, you will probably be 40, by which time it will look strange if you have jet black hair.

Do not waste your time with tonics and home remedies that claim to nourish your hair, thus stopping whitening. Some of these may work well as conditioners, but they will not turn your white hair black. Others will probably be a complete waste of time and money. One factor that may have a marginal impact is your diet and lifestyle. Having a healthy diet and lifestyle slows down the aging process in general, and has a small impact on white hair too. Of course, once again, do not expect the process to stop, and do not expect your white hair to turn black again.
