Gray hair cures

Hair grows white with age as the amount of melanin pigmentation produced reduces, and the age at which your first grey hair appears is decided by genes. However other factors such as stress, illness, malnutrition and excessive consumption of caffeine, alcohol, fried, oily and spicy foods can also lead to premature greying. To prevent premature and excessive greying of hair, ensure that you diet includes foods rich in proteins (cereals, meat and soya), Vitamin A (dark green vegetables and yellow fruits), Vitamin B (leafy green vegetables, cauliflower, tomatoes, cereals, banana, tomatoes and yoghurt) as well as minerals such as zinc and iron (meat, chicken, eggs, parsely, apricots, wheat and sunflower seeds).

Regular application of Indian gooseberry (Indian gooseberry) mixed with coconut oil to the hair and scalp not only delays greying of hair but also helps in making the hair appear a shiny black. In should boil a few pieces of dried Indian gooseberry in coconut oil till the oil turns black before applying it in your hair. Similar mixtures prepared by mixing curry leaves or ribbed gourd with coconut oil can be rubbed into your scalp to reduce the effects of greying. Mix a tablespoon of salt in black tea and leave this in your hair for an hour before washing your hair. Daily consumption of 1ts of grated ginger and honey also helps to reduce the effects of premature greying.

Grey hair remedies

Grey hair, normally associated with old age, is primarily caused due to genetic reasons. While some people grey sooner, others have black hair till late into their lives. Other reasons for greying can be stress, malnutrition and even illness. To prevent greying of hair, make sure your diet is rich in vitamins, calcium and folic acid to promote the general health of your hair and avoid using too many chemical products on your hair since they naturally destroy the melanin thus leading to greying. Regularly massaging your scalp with coconut/almond/jojoba/castor/mustard oil also helps in preventing further greying of hair. There are several simple home remedies for grey hair.

Amla, or the Indian gooseberry can be ground to a paste and applied to the scalp for half an hour before washing it off. Alternately you make a hair rinse by simmering the fruit in water for sometime and use it after your shampoo. You can also make an excellent herbal shampoo at home by mixing Indian gooseberry, sikakai and soap nuts and wash your hair with this regularly. This not only promotes the general health of your hair, but also reduces greying. Black tea is another excellent remedy for grey hairs. Rinsing your hair with black tea also helps to make the hair appear black and silky. Alternately you could massage black tea with a tablespoon of salt into your scalp and rinse it off with cold water to attain similar results.
