However other factors such as stress, illness, malnutrition and excessive consumption of caffeine, alcohol, fried, oily and spicy foods can also lead to premature greying. To prevent premature and excessive greying of hair, ensure that you diet includes foods rich in proteins (cereals, meat and soya), Vitamin A (dark green vegetables and yellow fruits), Vitamin B (leafy green vegetables, cauliflower, tomatoes, cereals, banana, tomatoes and yoghurt) as well as minerals such as zinc and iron (meat, chicken, eggs, parsely, apricots, wheat and sunflower seeds).
Regular application of Indian gooseberry (Indian gooseberry) mixed with coconut oil to the hair and scalp not only delays greying of hair but also helps in making the hair appear a shiny black. In should boil a few pieces of dried Indian gooseberry in coconut oil till the oil turns black before applying it in your hair. Similar mixtures prepared by mixing curry leaves or ribbed gourd with coconut oil can be rubbed into your scalp to reduce the effects of greying. Mix a tablespoon of salt in black tea and leave this in your hair for an hour before washing your hair. Daily consumption of 1ts of grated ginger and honey also helps to reduce the effects of premature greying.
