The brown spots on your face that you see are probably a case of scars from pimples, liver spots, or even freckles. In all these cases, the condition is completely treatable and you should have cleared up facial skin pretty soon. You also have to be aware that from this point onwards, especially because of the hormones in your body, you will start to see many changes in the quality of your skin - and even how it changes during the course of a month. It is important that you maintain your skin as you would any organ inside your body by not subjecting it to too many chemicals, keeping it clean and dirt free, and avoiding too much exposure to the sun.
If you are of Caucasian descent then you are possibly prone to freckles. Freckles are spots of hyperpigmentation that appear on the skin on exposure to the sun. This is an acquired genetic trait and there is no permanent cure for it. The only treatment for the condition is to use bleaching creams and laser treatments. These are not permanent and another trip out in the sun will make the freckles return. The other possibility of brown spots is the scarring left behind by pimples. Since you are thirteen, you probably have not seen the complete onslaught of acne; therefore, scarring is something that can almost be ruled out. The last possibility is that you have liver spots; these are also called age spots. Liver or age spots are brownish blemishes on the skin that are an accumulation of melanin in the area. It is a sign of skin aging that can sometimes even affect teenagers on a small scale. The skin over a period of time, and due to over exposure to the sun, ends up losing its ability to repair damage to itself and this manifests itself as liver spots. The spot looks brown because of excess melanin, in the area.
You can get rid of them by applying any over-the-counter skin whitening creams that are available. Just ensure that they have active compounds, like hydroquinone and Tretinoin. Natural remedies include the use of vitamin C that has bleaching abilities. You can try this at home by dicing onions and squeezing the juice from them. Mix the solution with some lemon juice and apply it to the areas you want to bleach. This is one part of the regimen. The next part includes using vitamin E oil as a direct application on your skin, daily. Finally, try to consume more pomegranates, which have skin lightening properties.
