Skin problems advice Although I am unsure as to exactly which part of your face you are referring to, itching of any sort is a sure sign of irritation. It could therefore mean that you either have a rash or an infection and so it would be best if you visit a dermatologist.
There are various methods available today for the treatment of scars. You could choose from a variety of readily available scar-treatment creams and products or you could opt for Steroid or Collagen injections if you suffer from extensive scarring. Laser surgery & resurfacing has now become fairly common and it is a relatively painless and safe procedure.
When selecting a cream, try to find one that contains either Silicone or Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Silicone helps to lighten and flatten scars while Alpha Hydroxy Acids help to exfoliate dead skin cells. Make sure that you choose the mildest alpha hydroxy acids as they often tend to irritate or sting sensitive facial skin.
You could also try herbal creams as they are comparatively mild and will not cause undue irritation. When choosing a cream, make sure that it contains at least one or two of the following ingredients: Onion Extract, Vitamin E, Lysine, Allantoin, Calendula Extract or Echinacea Extract. You could also use a common homemade remedy by mixing cocoa butter, Vitamin E oil, Zinc, Honey and Aloe Vera.
Drinking water not only helps to flush out toxins but is also vital in the supply of nutrients to the entire body (obviously that includes your skin!). Drinking water keeps your skin hydrated and smooth.
