Smooth skin is becoming more and more coveted these days, what with the extreme interest created by most cosmetic giants that claim that their products will remove every blemish from your body. To be fair, they do invest tons of money into research to create the miracle cream that will give everyone perfect skin. The truth of the matter though, is that everyone's skin is different and has a capacity to react very differently when exposed to certain creams and lotions. What will seem to work for another individual will not necessarily work on your skin. If the bumps you speak of are not acne, they can be caused by a number of reasons including physical trauma if you have ever been injured at that location.
However, more information would be required on them to make a correct diagnosis. I suggest that you visit a licensed doctor for a check up to make sure that they are benign and harmless. If your skin is noticeably rough and you see no reason for this to be the case, it may be a symptom for a more serious underlying condition and again, may require closer examination by a licensed physician or health care expert. However, some of the more common reasons for rough skin include lack of moisture, an unhealthy diet regime, allergic reactions including reactions to medication and simple genetics. Water therapy is a very useful and successful method used to get the skin to look healthy and glowing; this is because increased water intake will allow the body to perspire more through the course of the day. Perspiration will help clean the pores of dirt and dust collected on the skin and will also provide the skin with a noticeable sheen.
A few home remedies that will help with the smoothness of the skin are;
- Create a pulp by mashing some banana along with milk and apply it on your skin. Leave it on your face for about 20 minutes. Wash it with cold water later for glowing skin.
- Create a powder from mango peels and mix a teaspoon of milk powder into it. While taking a bath, lather your body with a soft soap and then apply this mixture on top of the lather. Use an exfoliation accessory like a loofah for better effect.
- Make a paste by mixing two tablespoons of turmeric powder and orange juice. Scrub this into your face and neck and leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash with cold water.
