It is only human to try and look more attractive every day! Blemishes and marks on the skin that were previously taken as completely natural are being increasingly looked down upon as a defect in today's world. The easy accessibility of thousands of skin care products and cosmetic accessories seem to leave no room for an excuse in a world that is starting to become a bit obsessive with beauty. Open pores on the skin were, at one time, not even noticed and thus were not even considered to be a problem. However, with advancement in science and the unnatural correction of so many features on the quest for absolute beauty, pores are beginning to take a more focal standpoint. Whatever the case, open pores do take quite a bit out of perfectly toned skin and can make a person look like they have a lot of blemishes on their skin. Most often, large and noticeable skin pores run through generations and can be blamed on heredity. However, oily skin can also play its part in causing the pores to appear more prominent. While there is no guaranteed natural way to remove the pores, we can still try and reduce the size of the pores, albeit temporarily.
Here are a few home remedies that might help:
- Papaya is very well known for its effects on the skin and mashing a bit of the fruit into a pulp and applying it over the affected area should help considerably. Leave the paste on for some time before washing it off with some lukewarm water.
- Create a paste of salt and butter and apply it over the pores to help reduce their prominence.
- Another therapy is to boil some water and put your face over the steam with a towel draped over it. Steam your face for about 10 minutes giving it enough time to sweat out any impurities and toxins in the skin and then wash your face with cold water. After having cleaned the skin with the steam, the cold water will contract the pores making them appear smaller as well as cleaner.
- Tomato contains natural toning agents and if the juice is applied to your skin regularly with a cotton ball and left for about 20 minutes, it will help reduce the size of the pores. Adding some chamomile powder also helps tone up the skin as well as reduces the prominence of the pores.
