Facial hair on women can be removed using laser surgery and tweezers

I have thick dark black hair on chin. I use hot wax for removing it but it comes too early. I am tired and want some method which I use easily at home.

Growth of dark facial hair on women is still a rather whispered topic as a lot of women see it as a source of embarrassment. While it is of no medical concern, dark facial hair can be difficult to live with and will greatly demean the overall look and beauty that a woman has. Also known as hirsutism, the condition is rarely confined to just the face but also other areas of the body. Technically, just like men, women have hair covering a large area of the body as well. However, the male hormone, testosterone, will give the hair a darker pigment along with an increase in the length of the hair follicle. You will also notice the development of the darker hairs over your body only after the phase of puberty, where the body begins to sexually mature. About half the women that suffer from hirsutism suffer from an unusually high count of testosterone levels as well. This can be brought about by a number of factors including - polycystic ovary syndrome where there is an imbalance of sex hormones causing other symptoms like irregular periods, infertility, obesity and at times, cysts on the ovaries. Another factor could be congenital adrenal hyperplasia - where the body experiences abnormal production of steroid hormones by the adrenal glands. Another possible cause could be Cushing's syndrome - where the body is exposed to high levels of steroid hormones that are a natural factor in your body's response to intense stress.

The new age option for hair removal is laser surgery. While it is rather expensive, it has shown to be of little use on patients of darker pigmented skin. These lasers automatically tune into the hair follicles that are dark in color. However, if the skin is dark as well, the laser might not be able to differentiate between the two and can damage the layers of your skin instead of removing the hair. Most people that face the condition choose to regularly shave any visible hair in the comfort of their homes. However, caution must be taken as shaving incorrectly can cause the hair to thicken. You could also make use of a pair of tweezers to remove some of the hair, but this may be time consuming depending on the amount and thickness of hair growth. There are a number of chemical based hair remover's available at most super markets. However, choose your product carefully and make sure that your skin does not react to its contents.
