Take care of sensitive skin naturally at home

I have sensitive skin. What kind of face wash, soap and moisturizer should I use? Can I use alcohol based after shave? I also have freckles on my nose. I think I have thin skin. How can I cure that?

Sensitive skin can be quite a problem in a day and age where everyone seems to be extremely concerned about making their skin look better and healthier. The consumer market is full of lotions and creams that can improve almost every kind of skin problems and blemish there is and yet, if you have sensitive skin, so many options could disappear. Sensitive skin reacts to different weather condition; chemicals present in creams and moisturizers or even toiletries and can produce red blotches on the skin as well as irritating the skin to a considerable extent. Before any choice of hair and skin care products are made, it is essential to make sure that you do your homework about your condition and know each and every ingredient that your skin is likely to react to. While there is no guarantee that your skin will not react to natural remedies, the chances of this happening are greatly minimal. Most of the time, the skin reacts to the chemical ingredients of the cosmetic products, but since natural remedies contain none of those, it poses a much safer option. When dealing with sensitive skin, the best face cleansers are ones that contain either almond or jojoba oils while facial exfoliates can be made by mixing grapefruit and oatmeal. Some of the essential oils used to treat sensitive skin are chamomile oil, sandalwood oil and lavender oil. You could also create a face pack for yourself by mixing 1 tablespoon of honey and another tablespoon of rosewater and apply the paste all over the face. Leave the mixture on for about 20 minutes and then wash it off with some lukewarm water. You will notice your skin become smooth and shiny very soon.

In order to treat the freckles on your nose, you could try heating a little bit of honey and apply it to the affected area with your fingers. Wash it off with some warm water and rinse with cool water. You could also try adding a little white germ to the honey before application, to experience a better effect. To lighten the freckles, you could also try mashing ΒΌ cup of unripe currants and mix that with 1 tablespoon of unpasteurized honey. Apply this over the freckles and let it be for about half an hour before washing it off with warm water after which you can dab on a little diluted fresh lemon juice. Applying some buttermilk over the freckles is also known to have some positive results.
