The term "skin rash" is a much generalized term used to indicate an abnormal and sudden appearance of bumps or scaly patches over the affected areas. Skin rashes can be a symptom of an underlying, and more severe affliction, or just simply an allergic reaction brought about by coming in contact with some kind of irritant. However, if the cause of the skin rash is unknown, it would be best advised for you to visit a licensed doctor and run a few blood tests, simply to make sure that there is no serious underlying illness that might need urgent medical care. This will also help you identify the affliction appropriately. Most commonly, skin rashes are symptoms of a skin condition called eczema. However, eczema on its own, is not a condition, but is a collective term for a number of common skin disorders that generate the same symptoms. Eczema is a non contagious disease and is most often encountered in children and, sometimes, in young adults. Eczema can be brought on by a number of factors including a drastic change in the weather, varicose veins as well as nutritional deficiencies such as a deficiency of Vitamin B6; while apart from the boils, the symptoms will also include a severe sense of itchiness, dryness and flakiness of the skin in the affected regions.

Some home remedies that could help get rid of the rash, if it is eczema are:

  • Applying a mixture of one teaspoon of camphor and one teaspoon of sandalwood over the rash should help get rid on the rash, when followed on a daily basis.
  • You could also simply apply some coconut oil over the affected region and this will help make the skin smooth and soft.
  • To reduce the itching considerably and help cure the eczema, you could also apply the paste of mashed papaya seeds over the affected region.
  • Rub nutmeg against a smooth stone and add a little water to create a paste. The paste should then be applied to the affected area. This is a very effective natural remedy in curing the condition.
  • Boil about 200 grams of mustard oil in an iron vessel and add 50 grams of fresh, clean margosa leaves to the mixture. Wait until the leaves have turned black and then allow the concoction to cool down before you strain it. Apply the resulting oil to the affected areas about four times a day for significant results.
