Grey hair at a young age is caused by heredity; this means that you will have family members who also suffered from grey hair at a young age too & that's most likely the reason that you are also facing the same problem. More than two billion people on earth will be affected by premature grey hair at some point in their lives. There is very little that can be done about the problem of early graying of hair. However there is something I suggest you try which will prevent you from getting more grey hair. You can take up yoga which is said to help this problem. There are several aasanas in yoga which ensure healthier and better hair. Make sure you have an instructor to support you and guide you while doing these exercise.

There are also hair products available to you, which could be a herbal based supplement or a metallic / non metallic based hair colorant. You should note that scientific tests have not shown any benefit from using such medicines or herbs, or even from dietary supplements and exercises or therapies. Premature graying of hair seems to be entirely triggered by your genes, and no treatment seems to have any success with stopping the process, much less reversing it. In a few rare cases, vitamin deficiencies (usually of vitamin B10 and folic acid) can cause hair to become light in color - this may give the impression of graying, and can be rectified by taking supplements of these vitamins, or modifying your diet to correct the imbalance. However, such cases are very rare - in most cases, graying cannot be stopped or reversed by dietary supplements or modifications. The one non hereditary factor that may have an effect on graying is smoking and the consumption of tobacco. Research has shown that smokers are much more likely to suffer from premature graying of hair. If you smoke, this is quite certainly a contributing factor to your premature graying - quitting tobacco may not bring back the color to hair that has already gone gray, but it will certainly slow down the process, and allow you to hold on to the remaining hair color a little bit longer. Apart from this, the only truly viable option for treating gray hair is to dye it. However, most people find this too troublesome and expensive and therefore avoid it. If you wish to dye your hair, make sure that you do a test patch before you use the dye as it cause an allergic reaction.
