Acne home cures

Butt Acne (as it is commonly referred to) is very common and is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Butt acne, similar to facial acne, is caused by the overproduction of oil glands in the skin. Bacteria within the blocked follicle cause outbreaks that can be extremely embarrassing and painful.

First and foremost make sure that you keep both your toilet bowl as well as the seat sparkling clean (try to use an antibacterial cleaner). Make sure that you do not try to pick or squeeze your acne, as this will only spread the infection and cause scarring. Try to avoid polyester or nylon underwear and instead use cotton or other natural fibres.

Use a bristle body brush or a loofah to exfoliate your skin while bathing and after your bath, apply an over-the- counter anti-bacterial cream. You could also try diluted Tea tree oil, a very popular home remedy. Make sure that you are not too harsh on your skin as this could aggravate your acne. At night, you can apply a regular acne cream or lotion as long as it is not oil based.

If your acne is persistent, I suggest you visit a dermatologist who would probably prescribe additional antibiotics.
