Causes and Treatment for Yellow and Orange Eyelids
Development of yellow or orange eyelids characterized by a flat outgrowth of coloured patches on the eyelids is a problem that goes in deeper than the skin. A fairly uncommon disorder known as xanthelasma palpebrarum, this usually occurs when a person is suffering from high cholesterol or excessive fats like triglycerides present in the blood. One of the most deceptive characteristics of this problem is that it is quite painless and appears to a cosmetic disorder, rather than an indicator of anything more serious. This problem also has a tendency to occur more frequently in females than males. It is significant for you to know that once it develops, this condition does not go away all by itself. It requires a proper method of treatment and care under the guidance of a medical practitioner to get rid of it. You would also have to spend some time on the after care.
There are also some other plausible causes of yellow or orange eyelids. It could be because you have a genetic structure prone to this sort of skin discoloration. It could also be a result of some sort of medicinal allergies, or a side effect of some sort of infection in any other part of the body. In extremely rare and unusual cases, this could also be an indicator of anaemia.
