My hairs were long but I had a cutting recently and I want them to grow a bit faster. I want some quick easy homemade treatment for dry and split ends.

There is no mechanism in modern medicine that can make hair grow at a faster rate than the body's standard rates. The rate at which your body produced hair previously is the rate at which it will nearly always grow given that there are no other changes to your body like nutritional imbalances and hormonal imbalances. Having said that, it is more important to ensure that your hair is in perfect condition as it grows back and that it is well nourished as it grows. Haircuts are an important part of this regimen of making hair look fresh and young. In terms of advice, you could try to set a marriage date that is at least three months away so that most of your previous length is acquired back.

Dry hair, split ends, lackluster hair are all symptoms of not taking proper hair care as it grows. Hair is a very complex set of chemicals. In scientific terms, it can best be described, as the hardest protein keratin that is bound together in cross-linked polymer structure in disulfide bonds. This basically means that it is one of the toughest materials on the body because of the microscopic linking of fibers inside each individual hair shaft. Curiously, keratin, which is the main protein within hair, is also the dominant protein inside the nails. However, this strength of hair is something that is not permanent and, as you have seen in your own hair - hair can weaken with time, split, and fall off. Hair is coated with a skin secretion called sebum from the scalp. This is an oil-based solution that travels up the hair to the end of the hair shaft. When this secretion is washed off and removed as it happens when you shampoo, the hair is then left unprotected. Pollutants, dust and hard water are then capable of creating slow but continuous damage to the hair until the disulfide bonds are totally destroyed. At this point, the hair will split and fall off.

Ensuring that this does not happen to you requires that you regularly add oils like almond and olive oil to your hair. Almond is the preferred medium if it is easy for you to acquire. Ideally, you should oil your hair every time before you go for a head bath and shampoo to protect your hair from hard water and retain the hair oils. In addition to this, use a conditioner that contains essential fatty acids. As a final step, you should start to increase your intake of vitamin C, A, and E to improve the hair that is continuously growing. Since you are in a bit of a hurry, it would be advisable to take these as supplements daily for the next few months.
