Natural Treatment for Healthy Hair
Healthy hair owes much to not just external cleansing practices, but internal cleansing practices as well. Combine a methodical hair-care program with a alteration in your diet to have glossy, healthy hair. Wash you hair as often at least three to four times a week. You need to do this especially when the weather is hot and humid, or if you live in a highly polluted environment. Any dirt and other debris can clog the pores of the hair and lead to hair loss.
Along with washing hair, you also need to make sure you condition it regularly. Conditioning makes the hair supple and ensures that the hair is free from tangles so it does not snap easily. You can use a store bought conditioner that is suited to your hair type, or use a homemade one. Home made one's can be made from a mix of half cup henna powder, two tablespoons of sandalwood powder, and rosewater. Make a thick paste out of these ingredients, massage into the roots of the hair and leave it on for about an hour. Rinse hair with warm water and do not shampoo or condition. You can try this out about twice a week.
Drink at least ten glasses of plain, purified water everyday. Avoid aerated and beverages with caffeine in them (coffee, soft drinks, colas,). Packaged, canned and preserved food has many additives that are unhealthy so it is a good idea to eat home-cooked food as often as is feasible. Exercise regularly as this improves overall blood circulation and can give added bounce to your hair.
