Raised Mole Removal

I have got raised moles on my face. I'm considering surgery for mole removal. Is this process painful? Are there other alternatives? Can I do something to prevent further coming up of moles on my face?

Moles on the body can occur commonly and randomly after the age of 30. While surgery is a good way to get rid of moles, it is not always a permanent solution. There are various types of moles that can afflict the human body. Some of them are the kind that expand and grow rampantly. If you have this particular kind of moles, you should know that they will re-appear post surgery. The best thing to do is to get a medical examination of your skin by a dermatologist, who will tell you if you have recurrent moles or not. If you have the kind of moles that will not recur, surgery is a very good option.

There are various types of surgeries available to get rid of moles. You can get them cauterized off, cut out of your skin or removed via laser rays. In order to find out which is the best option for you, you should interview all three kinds of surgeons before you opt for any one type of mole removal surgery. While most of them are minimally painful, how much pain you would suffer from and how long that would continue would depend largely upon the type and size of moles you have.

Among medicines, the only kind of medication that has a non invasive cure for moles if homeopathy. Homeopathy offers a medication called Tuja, which has to be taken by mouth and will work towards killing the root of your mole. As a result of this, your mole will simply fall off one day. However, it is absolutely essential that you take any or all types of medicines under the guidance of a qualified homeopathic doctor. Self administration of any medication can prove to be harmful and hazardous.

Some simple home remedies are also known to work on some kinds of moles. Supposedly, covering the mole with castor oil and then covering that with a band aid is considered to make the mole fall off within a day or two. This is a good way of effectively "choking" the mole to death. A mixture of chalk powder and water is another effective way of removing moles. This may cause some element of burning, which is a common property of chalk. You can apply aloe vera gel to soothe the burning sensation. Rubbing lemon or lime juice over the mole can also help to remove it, but this would take a very long time.
