Pigmentation on the face can be a result of genetic birthmarks, infection and injuries. Experimentation with too many remedies can result in the skin feeling stretched and prone to eruptions. As you have not mentioned the types of home remedies already tried by you, I am outlining certain home remedies that are simple to prepare and effective at the same time.

Soak yellow lentil in sufficient water so that the entire water is absorbed. Grind it and add it in milk. Apply this paste on the face twice daily. This removes pigmentation marks. Grind dried orange peels in water and apply the paste on the face. Citric acid improves the blood circulation on the face not to mention the benefits of vitamin C that acts as a natural skin tone enhancer. 1 tbs. honey mixed with 2 tbs onion juice is an excellent remedy for reducing pigmentation marks and making the skin fairer. Honey is an excellent source of moisture and is a good curative. The onion is a potent source of folate, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, chromium, iron and dietary fiber besides its curative and anti bacterial properties. The other causes of pigmentation, such as exposure to sun, also cause pigmentation that is often uneven. When the skin is over-exposed to the sun to a great degree, melanocytes or the pigment producing cells trigger over production and produce excessive pigmentation. If none of these are effective, then you can also try an over the counter skin bleaching product, perhaps one that contains hydroquinone. Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring substance that you can get by consuming more rye. This also has skin whitening effects. Also increase your vitamin E intake that will suppress melanin production.

Apart from the natural skin care home remedies, maintaining a balanced skin diet helps by imparting a healthy glow to the skin. Drinking 3-4 liters of water helps the body rid itself of toxins and keeps the skin supple and soft. You should simultaneously avoid heavy and oily foods as they block pores on the skin due to excessive secretion of sebaceous glands or the oil producing glands. These make the skin appear duller and darker. Incorporating whole cereals, pulses, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet will result in a clean bowel as a healthy option for maintaining a clearer skin. Lastly, avoid multiple remedies on your precious skin as they will negate each other and end up beyond repair except plastic surgery. And there are known risks to plastic surgeries going wrong. Maintain the standard home remedies mentioned and the concept of a balanced diet.
