From your question, I assume that you are experiencing some level of hair loss from the forehead. The first thing you need to consider is that hair loss (alopecia) can be caused by several factors, including hormonal changes, physical damage, and mental stress. In addition, hair loss may also be the symptom of certain fungal infections, immune system disorders, or systematic diseases. Before you attempt any treatment, it will be best to get a professional diagnosis from a dermatologist. Your symptoms do sound similar to that of androgenic alopecia, or male pattern baldness. It usually starts with hair loss at the top or front of the head, and can occur in both men and women. Androgenic alopecia is a genetic condition where enzymes are produced that convert normal testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a hormone that affects healthy hair follicles, causing them to shrink and resulting in partial or total hair loss.

If your doctor confirms that you are suffering from androgenic alopecia, there is a natural hair care remedy that may help. Experiments have shown that caffeine can help stimulate hair growth. In addition, it helps reduce the rate at which DTH shrinks hair follicles and causes baldness. It is recommended that addition of caffeine to shampoo formulations is the most effective method of reaching the hair follicles in the scalp.

You have also asked about any benefits that olive oil may have for hair loss. However, while it has many beneficial applications, there is no proof that olive oil can help regenerate hair or slowdown the process of hair loss. You may benefit from taking certain minerals, including zinc, magnesium, and iron that can be found in any healthy, well-balanced diet. In addition, vitamins like A, B-complex, C, and E may help. Many alopecia patients have also tried massages with evening primrose oil and flaxseed oil, both of which are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are believed to promote healthy hair. You can also try to massage the essential oils of rosemary, lavender, sage, and thyme to help boost blood circulation to the affected region. In case stress is a factor in your condition, it is recommended that you adopt a stress management option such as meditation or yoga. If you decide to try an allopathic treatment, the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) currently approves only two types of products, finasteride and minoxidil. However, these can help slow down hair fall, but not reverse the effects of earlier damage.
