If you are suffering from brown patches and rings on the face, the first thing you need to determine is why this is happening. If this has been a gradual build up and occurrence, then there is the possibility of a medical reason behind it. However, if this is sudden, then it could be a result of just about anything from neglect of your skin to environmental changes, or even hormonal changes. Please try and eliminate why this is happening before you start trying to take care of the problem. It is always better to approach any problem starting from the root cause rather than trying to do away with the symptoms. To start with, you can start adopting a regular routine of skin cleansing and care and see if this makes a difference. You need to get a facial done, preferably professionally for the first time. This is better than doing it yourself as you will be better guided about what type of skin you have, what type of products you should use and so on if you get it done professionally. After one time, you can do it yourself at home. A facial must be done at least once a month for effective results. Meanwhile, you can do a basic clean up of your face about once or twice a week to get rid of the usual marks and blemishes that generally accompany your skin with the passage of time.

A basic clean up would entail using a mild and soap free cleanser, facial exfoliate and a face pack. Cleanse your face and then massage with a mild cream or oil for about five minutes. Apply a warm compress to your face and then exfoliate gently for about five minutes. Wash off, apply a cold compress and then apply a face mask. This is something like a miniature facial which can take excellent care of your skin if done about once a week. You should also make it a rule to apply lime juice to your brown marks and rings each night before bedtime. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and wash with a cleanser. It is not advisable to use anything at night since skin tends to rejuvenate itself at night and must be left to breathe freely. Another good option is to indulge in aerobic exercise everyday. This will automatically make your skin healthier and make such marks vanish over a period of time.
