Causes and Treatment for Basil Cell Skin Cancer
Basal cell skin cancer remains the commonest cancer that affects human beings out of all the three types of cancer. The primary cause of basal skin cancer is exposure to the sun. This is probably a reason why you will find that it most commonly affects areas that are constantly exposed to the sun. Exposure to the sun would also include exposure to tanning light and beds that are commonly used ion tanning salons. These also contain ultra violet radiation, which is the part of sunlight that causes cancer in the first place. Another major cause of all kinds of cancer is also heredity – when the disease runs in the family, it makes a person more susceptible to it. Basal cell skin cancer may also develop in people who work close to a source of radiation or x rays. Constant and any kind of exposure to these rays can also lead to basal cell skin cancer.
There are three ways of curing cancer. These include various kinds of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Which option is most suitable for you would be decided by your doctor, depending upon the degree of advancement of the disease. When a person has cancer, the most important thing is early detection, which can make the difference between a life saved or not. This makes it important that you seek treatment as soon as possible.
