What are the effects of skin cancer on my appearance?

Exterior Cancer Appearance on Skin
You will be surprised to learn that skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer to affect human beings. Cancer is nothing but an abnormally fast growth of the skin cells. In most cases this develops in the areas that are exposed to the sun. But this type of cancer can also affect the skin that is not exposed to the sunlight. You may notice some kind of lesions appear on the skin of your arms, face, or even on the scalp. Skin cancer also frequently affects the skin between the toes and the palm of the hands.
There are three types of skin cancer and what this disease does to your body depends entirely on the kind of cancer that you have. If you have Basal cell skin cancer, for instance, you will notice that you have a pearly looking bump on your face, neck or even your ears. You may also notice a brown lesion which can appear either on chest or your back.
If you have Squamous cell carcinomas you will notice a red nodule on your face, your lips, ears or even your arms. The other symptom of this is a scaly surfaced that could appear on your face, neck or arms.
If you have Melanoma, you will notice large warts with speckles around it. You could also notice that a mole on your body changes color grows larger or even begins bleeding. Lesions that appear on your body also indicate Melanoma. So does the appearance of dome shaped bumps that have a shiny surface.
